In attendance were: Alice Carroll, Jim Carroll, Dick Hawes, Nancy Hawes, Jean Jensen, Cora Wegner, Regina Blake, Paul Lewis, Janet Winner, Carol Cullison, Micheil-Ann Gill, and guest Tammy McKinley.

President Micheil-Ann welcomed everyone. Everyone talked of their last walks.

1. SECRETARY’S MINUTES. A motion was made by Jean to accept the Secretary’s Minutes as given, and the motion was seconded by Regina.

2. TREASURER’S REPORT. Copies of the Treasurer’s Report were provided to members since Claudia was absent. Our bank balance is $1,725.93 as of August 13, 2009. Walk reports for two summer walks were provided. The Gresham Arts Festival Walk income was $251.20 and the Mt. Tabor Centennial Celebration Walk income was $258.70. A motion was made by Regina to accept the Treasurer’s Report as given, and was seconded by Janet.

3. OTSVA REPORT. No report given.

4. WALK RECAP.

Gresham Arts Festival Walk. We had good, positive feedback from people. It is possible that we would like to do it again next year.

Mt. Tabor Centennial Walk. Janet said the whole walk went extremely well and she was very pleased. She praised Portland Parks for all their help. The Portland Parks was given $71.00 in donations that we made at the walk.

5. UPCOMING WALK.

6. NEW WALKS FOR 2010.

Butler Creek Walk. Claudia and Judy have created a new walk to be named the Butler Creek Walk. It will be both a 5k and a 10k. It has already been sanctioned.

Confluence/Bird Blind/Sandy Delta walk. Regina talked about developing a walk at the confluence/bird blind/Sandy Delta area, everyone agreed that it sounded like it would be a great walk.

Ric’s New Walk. The walk Ric has been developing will be postponed until 2011 because of the redevelopment of Main City Park and the parking areas.

7. SANCTIONING OF EXISTING YREs for 2010. All of our YREs have been sanctioned for 2010. Regina and Micheil-Ann mentioned how great it is working with Sam.

8. BOXKEEPERS. Micheil-Ann asked if the boxkeepers want to continue with their duties.  Cora and Dick said they are ready to give up the duties. Discussion was tabled for the next meeting.

9. SUMMER PICNIC RECAP. Everyone agreed that the picnic turned out great. Thank you’s were given to everyone who helped make it such a success.

10. CHRISTMAS PARTY. Micheil-Ann said she received a telephone call from Noreen saying that she is going to drop out of the club because she has too many other commitments. She will not be able to have the Christmas party at her club house, so we need find another location. Discussion was had, and then the subject was tabled for the next meeting.

11. OFFICERS FOR 2010. Micheil-Ann said she would like to stay as president. We will need a vice president and a treasurer.

12. SPRINGWATER TRAIL CLEAN-UP. Micheil-Ann signed up for clean up this month.

13. DOOR PRIZE. The door prize was furnished by Regina and won by Alice Carroll.

The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m. with everyone enjoying cookies and fruit punch provided by Regina.
