Start Time: 9 AM – 1 PM
Finish by 4 PM
Trail Description:
Both the 5K is rated 1+ and 10K is rated 2 because of
slight hills.
Trail starts at Gresham
City Hall
and winds around to a walk down the
Main Street
of Gresham
where the annual Arts Festival is held.
Local artists show and sell their art.
Also the local Farmers Market will be open.
The trail proceeds to
Main
City
Park
where there is a checkpoint and port-a-potties.
You will walk on the Springwater Trail, through
Gresham
neighborhoods, past two small shopping malls and back to
Gresham
City Hall.
Challenges Available:
Seasons (Summer), Oregon Counties (Multnomah, Walk
Oregon
– Duck -G (Gresham), Auditorium, Waterway, Europe
in the USA
(Gresham, England, Library, Arena, Railroad
Heritage, Veterans Memorial and for the 5K walk Cemeteries.
Credit Only Event:
Non-credit walkers are welcome but
must carry a start card and sign the insurance waiver.
IVV/AVA
fee $3.00. Donations are welcomed. “B” awards and hatpins
are available.
Any
child 12 or under
who completes a Volkswalk can
choose his or her award!
This
event is sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association (AVA), a member of
the International Federation; of Popular Sports(IVV). This event counts toward
acquisition of IVV Achievement Awards.
Driving
Directions:
Drive on I-84 and take Exit 16,
Fairview.
From
the east,
turn left
(south) as you exit the freeway, travel south on
242nd
, turn right onto SE Stark Street, turn left onto SE 223rd
Ave, SE 223rd
Ave becomes NW Eastman Pkwy
and end at 1333 NW Eastman Pkwy.
Turn right into Gresham City Hall Parking lot. If
you are
coming
from the west,
turn right (south) as you depart the freeway at Exit 16 and follow according to
the directions above.

Gresham Transit Center
When
you exit the Max train, turn north and proceed to City Hall to sign-in table.
